Run Game Show Studio on your own computer

The same console, TV and phone screens, running on your laptop. Sign in once while you are online, then host with no internet: your players join over your own Wi-Fi or phone hotspot, so there is no lag and no venue network to depend on.

First run

From download to game night

  1. Open it and sign in

    Use your Gig Game username and password, then the security code we send you. You need the internet for this step.

  2. Create a game and press Start show

    Everything you set up is kept on your computer.

  3. Let the guests in

    Put the TV on, then guests scan the QR code or type the address with the join code. They need to be on the same Wi-Fi, or on your phone's hotspot.

  4. Run the show from a tablet if you like

    Press Pair a tablet and type the six-digit code on the tablet.

Good to know
  • Online every 30 days: connect and sign in again at least once every 30 days. The app warns you when fewer than 7 days are left.
  • Offline: the games, screens, sounds and your downloaded trivia and media all work with no internet. Spotify and the AI helpers need a connection.
  • Windows firewall: allow Game Show Studio on private networks when asked, so phones can reach it.
