What is Gig Game's Game Show Studio?
Game Show Studio is human-hosted and AI-assisted: you are the host, and one or two animated AI cohosts - Sally Sharp and Barney Bartflast - back you up. They talk with you through a microphone, work the TV, and keep a room full of phones in the game. Together you can run trivia, bingo, a prize wheel, drawing games, photo challenges and more.
Is it a real host or just an AI?
It is human-hosted and AI-assisted. You are the host: you choose the games, set the pace and talk to your guests. Sally and Barney are your animated AI sidekicks - they banter, read out questions, run the screens and keep score on your cue, and you can step in or quiet them at any moment.
Do my guests need to download an app?
No. Guests scan the QR code on the TV, or go to giggame.app and type the code shown on screen. They play in their phone's browser.
What do I need to run a show?
A TV or projector with a web browser (or any laptop connected to one), a microphone if you want to talk to the cohosts, and a Gig Game host account. Your guests need only their phones.
Do I have to talk to the AI, or can I just use buttons?
Both work. The console has a button for everything, and you can talk to the cohosts naturally. Clear spoken commands such as 'spin it', 'next question' or 'start a 30 second timer' are recognised straight away.
Can the AI build a game for me?
Yes. Describe what you want - 'a ten-question trivia round about space' or 'bingo with 80s movies' - and a more powerful AI builder assembles it, then the cohosts announce it when it is ready.
Can I plan the whole night in advance?
Yes. The Rundown tab is a running order of steps - trivia round, teams, wheel, bingo, winners - that you build once, save and reload. Press Start The Show and move through it with Next and Back.
Can I change screens during a live show?
Yes. Add a new screen on the fly from the Live tab: it runs on top of the show, the show keeps its place, and one click puts you back where you were.
Does it work for remote or hybrid events?
Yes. The TV is just a web page, so you can share it in a meeting or stream it. Remote guests watch the stream and play along from their phones with the same code.
Is it safe for workplaces, schools and families?
Everything players type is cleaned and profanity-masked, the Reaction Wall and Photo Challenge can hold content for your approval, and the AI cohosts follow the tone you set. You are always in control of what reaches the screen.
Does Game Show Studio handle money or prizes?
No. It never handles payments, wagers or prizes. Games such as Squares and bingo are for fun - what winning means is up to you.
Can I use my own questions, pictures and music?
Yes. Paste in questions, search the question library, upload pictures, videos and your own sound effects, play songs from your own computer, and set your own backgrounds. The AI can also make a custom background picture for you. Ready-made game-show music and thirty sound effects come with the app.
Can guests share photos, and who sees them?
If you allow it, a guest can take a live picture or choose one from their phone. In the Reaction Wall you choose: photos are allowed (they pop up on the TV), need your approval first, or are off. In a Photo Showdown nothing goes on the TV until you pick it. You can look at and download every photo while the show runs; they are not kept after the session.
Does it keep score for me?
Only if you want it to. Every game that scores has a points setting in its Rundown step, and it starts at 0 - leave it there and add points by hand, or set points per game, per trivia question, or for the first (or every) bingo winner. You can adjust any score at any time.
How much does it cost?
Nothing extra. Game Show Studio is included with every Gig Game membership - there is no separate subscription. Gig Game plans, starting with a free one, scale with how many players join your game at once, not with which games or features you use.
