How it works
At each checkpoint, such as a quarter of a game or the end of a meeting, you enter the real score, and the owner of the matching square wins. Nothing here tracks money or prizes; what winning means is up to you.
Three kinds of board
Football squares is a ten by ten grid, with the numbers drawn at random. Touchdowns is a small four by four board. A list pool is one list of choices, like guessing a launch date.
Set up the board
Give the board a title, and name the two sides. Choose how many squares each player may claim, and whether the numbers are drawn at random when you lock the board. Then list your checkpoints, one per line.
Guests claim squares
On the Live tab, start the show and move to the Squares step. The board opens for picks straight away. Guests claim squares on their phones, and the TV shows the board filling up with their names. Pick for me chooses squares at random, if they do not want to choose.
Lock, then draw
When enough squares are claimed, lock the board. You can also give a square to anyone by name from the Live tab. Then draw the numbers: they are shuffled onto the board at random, so nobody can choose a favourite, and they appear on the TV and on every phone.
Enter the score, name the winner
At each checkpoint, enter the real score. The last digit of each score picks the matching square. The owner is named on the TV and on their phone, with points if you set them. Do the same at every checkpoint, until the final result.
